Small projects
City Haven in Stockwell.
A small garden behind a new town house squeezed between a 20 ft high boundary wall and basement stairs.
The garden is 5.4 metres long and 2.3 metres wide so every centimetre counts. The back of the house faces south so the garden is bright when the sun shines.
Low L-shaped painted walls were built to create a planting area and seat base. The floor was laid with slate stone paving and hardwood slatted fencing and a hardwood seat were installed.
An Acer, tall Bamboo underplanted with seasonal flowers, and three large Box balls in bright blue pots softened the design and added colour. Garden lighting completed the scheme.
